Who is responsible for your data
Manning Careers Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at roger@manningcareers.co.uk or +44 7896 291544 for any question about this policy or your information.
What we collect
When you complete an enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the details you choose to share about your role, organisation, goals, and current situation. Our website also records basic technical information such as your device type and pages viewed, which our hosting provider logs in order to keep the site secure and available.
Please do not send us health information, or any other special category data, through the enquiry forms.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call, coaching, a workshop, or a programme. Lawful basis: your consent for the enquiry itself, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.
- To deliver and administer agreed work, including scheduling and invoicing. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you or your organisation.
- To keep records required for tax, accounting, and insurance purposes. Lawful basis: compliance with our legal obligations.
- To keep the website and our systems secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in preventing misuse.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell your information.
Confidentiality of coaching
What you discuss in coaching sessions is treated as confidential. Where an employer funds coaching, we share only what has been agreed with you in advance, normally attendance and high-level themes rather than the content of individual conversations. We may break confidentiality only where there is a serious risk of harm or where the law requires it.
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of trusted suppliers who process data on our instructions: our website hosting and database provider, our email provider, and, where used, our scheduling and accounting tools. They are bound by contract to keep your information secure and to use it only for the services they provide to us. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, that transfer relies on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to coaching, workshops, or programmes we have delivered are kept for six full financial years to meet tax and insurance requirements, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
How we protect it
Enquiries are stored in an access-controlled database, encrypted in transit and at rest. Only Roger Manning can view them, through a password-protected account. Access is reviewed if anything changes.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only storage we use is strictly necessary: it keeps Roger signed in to the private enquiry area. Because these are essential to a service you request, no cookie banner is required.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to receive it in a portable format. Email roger@manningcareers.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
